Applied Kinesiology: ( this is straight off of http://www.icakusa.com/what.php
- which we should probably acknowledge as a reference)
Applied Kinesiology (AK) is a system that evaluates structural, chemical
and mental aspects of health using manual muscle testing combined with other
standard methods of diagnosis. AK, a non-invasive system of evaluating body
function that is unique in the healing arts, has become a dynamic movement
in health care in its relatively short existence.
The combined terms "applied" and "kinesiology" describe
the basis of this system, which is the use of manual muscle testing to evaluate
body function through the dynamics of the musculoskeletal system. Treatments
may involve specific joint manipulation or mobilization, various myofascial
therapies, cranial techniques, meridian and acupuncture skills, clinical nutrition,
dietary management, counseling skills, evaluating environmental irritants and
various reflex procedures.
Rolfing : A path into oneself structurally, functionally
and emotionally. Its purpose is to organize the body through the myofascial
system in relation to gravity and your environment. With more integrity /order
in the body everyday activities can be done with more efficiency and ease.
The work is about the structural relationships within the body and the memories
that can be stored there. The process will facilitate your health and assist
you in the process of self discovery through your body.
Chiropractic: (This definition is a temporary placeholder)
Chiropractic is a health care profession that focuses on disorders of the musculoskeletal
system and the nervous system, and the effects of these disorders on general
health. Chiropractic care is used most often to treat neuromusculoskeletal
complaints, including but not limited to back pain, neck pain, pain in
the joints of the arms or legs, and headaches.
Doctors of Chiropractic practice a drug-free, hands-on approach to
health care that includes patient examination, diagnosis and treatment. Chiropractors
have broad diagnostic skills and are also trained to recommend therapeutic
and rehabilitative exercises, as well as to provide nutritional, dietary and
lifestyle counseling.
EFT: Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) is an
emotional version of acupuncture except needles aren't necessary. Instead,
you stimulate well established energy meridian points on your body by tapping
on them with your fingertips.

or osteoporosis; joint and soft tissue injuries such as fractures and dislocations;
neurologic conditions such as stroke, traumatic brain injury, or Parkinson's
disease; connective tissue injuries such as burns or wounds; cardiopulmonary
