Professional Overview
Dr. Dylan Despain is a Doctor of Chiropractic Medicine, Board-Certified Athletic Trainer, and Master of Clinical Neuroscience with clinical residency at the Parker Performance Institute in Frisco, Texas. As the founder of Brain Body Interlink, Dr. Despain integrates Applied and Clinical Kinesiology, Functional Neurology, Somatic-Based Approaches, and Neuro-Emotional Technique (NET) to restore balance and vitality to the human body.
Guided by a deep sense of calling, he believes the body is divinely designed and fully capable of healing itself when its barriers are identified and removed. His approach is both scientific and spiritual in nature — grounded in neurophysiology, sports medicine, and clinical neurology, while remaining deeply reverent toward the intelligent design of the human body. Each treatment he delivers reflects a commitment to restoring harmony across the physical, nutritional, and neuro-emotional dimensions of health.
Philosophy of Care
“Health is the natural state of the human body.”
His goal is not just to suppress symptoms but to uncover and correct the hidden causes of dysfunction: structural misalignments, biochemical imbalances, toxic burdens, or emotional or physical trauma. Utilizing Applied and Clinical Kinesiology, Neuro-Emotional Technique (NET), Sports Performance Rehabilitation and somatic-based approaches, he addresses each patient’s unique needs across physical, chemical, and neurological domains. Every plan is individualized, evidence-based, and built on respect for the body’s own wisdom.
“Healing begins when we believe the body can heal.”

My Journey To Healing & Purpose
Dr. Despain’s journey into healthcare began not in a classroom, but on the field. A lifelong athlete, his passion for sports was abruptly halted after a devastating football injury that left his left leg fractured in five places at the age of 16. What followed was an 11-month recovery involving extensive physical therapy, rehabilitation, and unwavering determination to regain strength and mobility. This process taught him patience, perseverance, and gratitude for the remarkable practitioners who guided his recovery. With their help, he not only healed — he returned to competitive athletics, forever inspired by the power of expert care and the resilience of the human body.
While studying Athletic Training and Sports Medicine at Southern Utah University, Dr. Despain balanced his academic life with summers spent fighting wildland fires, developing the grit, adaptability, and mental focus that he now brings to his clinical work. During his undergraduate training, he worked closely with collegiate athletes from football, softball, basketball, track and field, volleyball, and soccer — experiences that gave him a profound respect for performance physiology and the delicate balance of strength, recovery, and neurological control.
But the lessons that shaped him most deeply came from home. His father was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at age 14 and endured decades of medical challenges, including open-heart triple bypass surgery, a kidney transplant, and ultimately a lower-leg amputation due to vascular complications. Dr. Despain was by his father’s side throughout, attending countless dialysis and therapy appointments and witnessing the relentless courage required to face chronic illness. He vividly remembers the day his father took his first steps on a prosthetic leg — a moment that crystallized for Dylan the essence of faith, resilience, and human adaptability.
Those years of witnessing pain, perseverance, and recovery instilled in him a profound compassion for patients and a commitment to helping others reclaim their potential. Through these experiences, Dr. Despain came to understand that true healing must honor both the science of the body and the spirit of the individual.
Divine guidance later led him to Parker University in Dallas, Texas, where he pursued advanced studies in chiropractic medicine and clinical neuroscience. Graduating Valedictorian of the Doctor of Chiropractic Class of 2023, he simultaneously completed his Master of Clinical Neuroscience while serving a clinical residency at Parker Performance Institute — a center known for integrating neuro-rehabilitation, functional performance, and applied neurology for elite athletes and complex cases.
